Sheng Lin is a photographer based in New York City. Much of his work is dedicated to creating photojournalist-based works to help document, preserve, and advocate for disadvantaged communities. These efforts have translated into a focus on Chinatown in New York City, where Sheng has seen the impacts forced displacement, gentrification, and anti-Asian violence. As a result, he created @chinatownvibes, a platform that Sheng uses to help spread awareness about issues affecting the community. Through his photography, Sheng hopes to not only continue to tell unheard stories but to use the images as a catalyst to mobilize action.
